Hardware engineering
• Designed and taught the soft toy design curriculum, design thinking, and physical fabrication/sewing skills to foster confidence in hands-on design, making, and prototyping for six cohorts of 15+ elementary-age students. • Effectively guided ~100 projects from initial sketch designs to final soft plush toys in six weeks
• Organized, maintained, and inventoried supplies and resources in the Stanford d.school to facilitate student learning and making • Designed flyers and signage for the d.school studio and events • Implemented new types of prototyping and studio spaces in the d.school.
• Designed CAD simulation models and conducted thermal FEA to generate design solutions that reduced tool overheating. • Designed test fixtures for an O-ring alternative
• Optimized and validated a BKM wafer-centering process, via baseline and repeatability testing, that increases throughput and efficiency and reduces existing failure modes.
