I'm driven by a genuine curiosity about human behaviour and love finding ways to turn research into real-world impact. From leading psychology studies to working with NHS teams on patient engagement projects, I’ve built hands-on experience in data analysis, survey design, and collaborating across disciplines. I enjoy connecting ideas in creative ways and thrive in team settings where fresh thinking, diverse perspectives, and meaningful work come together.
As the first health psychology student to join the team on placement, I contributed to research initiatives focused on enhancing patient care and engagement across different services. My responsibilities included administering surveys for MSK patients to assess pain severity, daily impact, and both mental and physical health effects. I contributed to a pilot study exploring symptom management in MSK and perimenopausal women by designing targeted surveys and managing related data. I also conducted literature reviews, including systematic reviews, to identify effective interventions. In collaboration with the Diabetes team, I helped develop and deliver an educational group for patients, which provided accessible information about diabetes and self-management strategies. This was a creative response to high DNA (Did Not Attend) rates, designed to boost engagement through an interactive, community-based learning format.
I began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, where I managed and coded client demographic data in Microsoft Excel to track therapy processes effectively. In my final year, I was promoted to Head Undergraduate Research Assistant, leading a team of research assistants by organizing and facilitating weekly meetings, ensuring data accuracy, and overseeing project progress. I provided key support to graduate students on research examining the correlation between African American individuals and access to mental health resources. Additionally, I conducted an independent research project investigating the relationship between working alliance, treatment duration, and treatment outcomes among clients with and without PTSD. This role strengthened my skills in research methodology, data analysis, leadership, and collaboration.
Led peer support groups through Hokie Wellness, fostering an inclusive space for students to discuss mental health and well-being. Developed activities and coping strategies to encourage open conversations while ensuring a supportive environment. Served as a mandated reporter, prioritizing participant safety and connecting individuals to appropriate resources.
As Vice President of Member Development for Alpha Delta Pi, I led the member development team, conducting standards meetings to uphold the sorority’s values and principles. I actively advocated for diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a culture of mutual accountability and support. Additionally, I founded “Fireside Chats,” a support group within the chapter, creating a safe space for members to discuss concerns and challenges, ultimately promoting community, well-being, and open dialogue.
As Director of Primary Recruitment for Alpha Delta Pi, I managed the planning and execution of Spring Primary Recruitment, developing structured timelines and deadlines to ensure a seamless process for the chapter. I also served as a liaison between chapter members and the Panhellenic Board, fostering collaboration with other sorority chapters to strengthen relationships within the Panhellenic community.
