1. Design Review (DFX) - Review customer PCB design to ensure manufacturability, cost, and quality. - Define suitable SMT and assembly process based on product design and identify required tooling and resources for NPI build. 2. Tooling Planning & Verification - Work with vendor/designer to fabricate SMT stencil, wave solder pallet, and assembly jig based on process. - Verify tooling fabricated meets design and process requirements for production uses. 3. Process Development & Control - Conduct PFMEA to identify risks before build. - Prepare Work Instructions (WI) and SOP for standard process to support production builds. 4. NPI Build & Improvement - Monitor and support NPI pilot build and troubleshoot process or assembly issues on spot. - Perform root cause analysis to improve yield prior transition to mass production.
1. Engineering Change & Deviation Management - Manage ECO changes and coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth implementation. - Review and handle customer deviation requests, define interim solutions, and ensure timely closure. 2. BOM & Component Management - Create and maintain BOM, part number, AVL, and compliance data (RoHS/REACH) in the system. - Ensure accurate product configuration control for PCBA and HLA builds. - Work with product engineers to improve BOM structure for traceability and material control. - Verify and release incoming components with unclear or incomplete information (FCPA). 3. Cross-Functional Coordination - Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program teams to support configuration changes. - Ensure alignment with engineering requirements, product quality, and customer expectations. 4. Technical Documentation (Agile System) - Maintain and validate customer documents (drawing, WI, test instruction) in Agile system. - Ensure BOM and product data are accurate and up to date for production use.
