HELLO EVERYONE! I am Samuel, a Mechanical Engineering graduate specializing in Robotics. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Robotics at NUS. My work blends mechanical design, autonomous systems, and AI, with hands-on experience in both hardware and software. 🔹 Core Highlights Robotics & Autonomy – Was part of a team that built decentralized drone swarm algorithms (Crazyflie 2.x) for search-and-rescue, covering collision avoidance, mapping (SLAM), and frontier exploration. AI & Control Systems – Designed and trained reinforcement learning agents (Q-learning, SARSA, Monte Carlo) for stable drone hovering and navigation in PyBullet/OpenAI Gym. Mechanical Engineering – Designed and validated the Formula SAE accumulator housing using SolidWorks + ANSYS, ensuring safety, thermal performance, and structural integrity. Computer Vision & Mapping – Applied ORB-SLAM and OpenCV for 2D mapping and visual perception in multi-drone systems, integrated with ROS2/RViz. I thrive at the intersection of hardware and AI, where physical systems meet intelligent decision-making. On top of that, i always love a challenge. My next step is to contribute to teams working on robotics engineering, autonomous navigation, and mechatronics innovation.
