Gathering EU intelligence in order to provide strategic advise on EU policy to the Units and Corporate Services of TNO. Represent TNO in European networks. Facilitate interaction between the European institutions and TNO.
Following general policy developments in the European Union, with special attention for the field of European research and innovation policy. Supporting the work of TNO's thematic European coordinators. Advising on European matters. Maintaining a relevant network in Brussels.
I was responsible, mainly, for European policy in the dossiers of skills, budget, regional development and digitalisation. This included following policy developments, maintaining a relevant network and advising members on these topics.
Following developments in European education, research and innovation policies, writing articles and supporting staff in their general work. I conducted a research, commissioned by the Dutch organisation 'Platform Bèta Techniek', on the role of vocational education in the innovation chain of several European countries. For the Dutch public research institute 'Trimbos Instituut' I mapped the Brussels network relevant for them on several mental healt-related themes.
Responsible for the organisation of a high-level round table discussion on cyber security as an official side-event of the Munich Security Conference 2016 organised by ELF.
I supported the staff of the secretariat in their organisational work (filing, communicating with member organisations) and the organisation of several events throughout Europe.
