At Rain, we envision a future where every device possesses an efficient and continuously learning artificial brain. Deep Neural Networks have made today's extraordinary breakthroughs in AI possible, but these simulations run on digital hardware are one million times less efficient than the neural network circuit of biological brains. We seek to close this cost gap between artificial intelligence and biological intelligence, and build the most brain-like hardware and software AI platform ever.
UF DSI seeks to build a multidisciplinary community focused on the power of Big Data across numerous domains through the delivery of twice-weekly workshops, collaborative cross-disciplinary events, opportunities to volunteer, data-centric competitions, and educational symposia. DSI is a learning community within UF that connects students, faculty, administration, and industry partners through its programming. www.dsiufl.org Responsibilities as President included: - Managed an officer board of 15 undergraduate and graduate students from across university disciplines. - Regularly taught hourlong workshops for 30-100+ attendees on essential Data Science tools including Python, Machine Learning, statistical theory, Bayesian networks and other relevant topics. - Coordinated curriculum development for new workshops and provide guidance and feedback for student instructors. - Worked directly with the director and staff of the UF Informatics Institute.
