- Studied the proposed EITF 13b changes, researched effective yield calculations, manually analyzed over 660 investments to determine the impact of converting each investment as it stands today to this new proposed method. This analysis led to the banks senior executive management team raising concerns of the implementation of the changes to FASB. My analysis quantified the one time impact of the accounting changes as well as the technology changes that would be required to implement. Result was for the bank to proceed with an alternative accounting method that was acceptable to FASB. - Forecast and plan tax credit income from real estate investments in low income housing, new markets and historic areas. Scope of work includes analysis of 600+ tax credit investments with annual tax credits of $700+ million and annual investments of $850 million. Analysis is presented to business partners for strategic decision making on making investments or selling tax credit portfolios. - Review current financial analysis process for opportunities to develop a more efficient, optimized process. A business review for common elements resulted in 6 models being consolidated by using Excel to standardize the base elements. Moving to the new business model resulted in a process that saved at least 3 days work on a monthly basis, freeing up capacity for the analyst and manager. - Led team in automating reports leveraging Microstrategy and Essbase for recurring reports.
