He has an in-depth knowledge of IP topics specifically related to the pharmaceutical industry, including in particular supplementary protection certificates (SPCs), regulatory data exclusivity, product life cycle management, pharmaceutical trade marks and parallel imports. He is particularly experienced in opposition proceedings before the European Patent Office, where he has acted in a number of high profile cases before both the opposition division and the boards of appeal. He is a council member of CIPA and a contributor to Concise European Patent Law (Kluwer) and the CIPA Guide to the Patents Act. Gordon is well known for his numerous lectures at both professional and commercial conferences, covering a wide range of IP topics related to the pharmaceutical industry.
