After over two decades of leadership as Marketing Director, Gordon was instrumental in building Globaltech Corporation Pty Ltd into a leading brand, designing and manufacturing a range of precision survey, orientation, logging instruments and drill performance monitoring for the mineral exploration market. Gordon forged strong relationships with customers to identify innovative solutions and products to improve workflow efficiency and save time during exploration drilling operations. Raising capital and recruiting a multi-skilled engineering team, was another significant achievement, which laid the foundation to build a successful and innovative instrumentation business. Globaltech’s suite of world class instrumentation products were sold globally and operated in some of the harshest mining and exploration environments. Gordon was also a significant contributor to drive Globaltech’s research, that culminated in a negotiation to commercialise a suite of exploration products funded by the DETCRC. These products were designed to deliver research outcomes for lower cost and safer ways to drill, analyse and target deep mineral deposits. The DETCRC delivered commercialisation outcomes with $145M of cash and in-kind funding from the Commonwealth Government of Australia and its Industry Participants. Gordon was a member of the science steering committee. Gordon is a strategic thinker and problem solver with over two decades of leadership experience in business execution, developing sound strategies for growth whilst managing the business within cost budgets. Skills are wide ranging from technology development, project management, marketing and strategic planning. Gordon is a collaborative and passionate team player and mentor who aims to inspire and transform other team members. This unique skillset has been harnessed from a blend of electrical and mechanical engineering skills together with entrepreneurial spirit. Experience in operations, sales and program management has provided a track record of success working in large corporations as well as building a business from scratch over 24 years. As a business owner and leader, Gordon’s values include integrity, trust and teamwork to maximise performance of any business. Gordon attained a distinction for an MBA from the University of Aberdeen Business School 2019.
