Giuseppe Oliverio (Bologna, 1985) is the Founder and Artistic Director of PhMuseum, an international platform widely known for its grants and education program. Since 2021 he also leads and curates PhMuseum Days, an International Photography Festival held in Bologna, Italy. He gave workshops in Europe, Middle East and South America, and served as juror or nominator for awards such as FOAM Paul Huf Award, Lucie Photo Book Prize, Magenta Foundation's Flash Forward, Blow Up Press Book Award, LensCulture Critics' Choice, United Photo Industry The Fence, and Cortona - Happiness OnTheMove. He has served as a portfolio reviewer at festivals such as Unseen, Fotografia Europea, Visa Pour L'Image, Photo Vogue Festival, Verzasca Foto and Fotofestiwal Lodz. He has written for TIME magazine and L'Uomo Vogue.

    Artistic Direction & Curating: Since 2012, I have designed, curated and produced over 50 exhibitions, collaborating with world-renowned artists such as Penelope Umbrico, Thomas Mailander, and Angélica Dass, leading the artistic vision of our platform. PhMuseum Days & Lab: To expand our physical footprint, I launched the PhMuseum Days International Photography Festival in 2021 and established PhMuseum Lab in Bologna—a dedicated space for exhibitions and professional training. Grants & Education: I have spearheaded the development of the PhMuseum Grants, providing significant financial support and global visibility to photographers. I also lead our international online Education Program, offering mentorship from top-tier industry professionals like Adam Broomberg, and Erik Kessels. Publishing: I serve as the Editor-in-Chief and Art Director for PhMuseum’s publishing initiatives, including the production of our annual printed magazine, Imperfetto. Industry Influence: I frequently contribute my expertise as a juror and portfolio reviewer for prestigious institutions, including the FUTURES Photography, Les Rencontres D'arles, LensCulture Critics' Choice, amd Photo Vogue Festival.
