About

From 1995 to 2000, General Electric increased its profit share by $2.5 billion dollars. The lean six sigma strategies that they utilized to accomplish this feat are now mainstays of the industrial engineering world. As an Industrial Engineering student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison I am doing all that I can to learn ways to revolutionize manufacturing. Through my coursework and IE related clubs I'm learning everything from traditional waste reduction techniques to how AI and new technology is playing a role in the workplace. A special area of interest for me is advanced manufacturing, I look forward to seeing how AI tools and smart robotics will play a role in the future manufacturing. While interning at Generac Power Systems I had the opportunity to assist manufacturing engineers developing fixtures and implementing new products. (NPIs) This position gave me an opportunity to develop my Python and Arduino skills by working on a PLC to program lights for the commercial Mean Green lawnmower department. This project decreased routing and troubleshooting times by over 2 hours per unit. Leadership and excellence are the two pillars of the United States Army ROTC program, and both will play an important role in my future. As a part of the Badger Battalion, I have the opportunity to regularly practice communicating and leading others through practical exercises. The program has been instrumental for helping me gain confidence and experience in leadership positions. My passions extend past my career as I enjoy the outdoors as much as I can. Swimming, hiking, and playing disc golf are a few of my favorite activities. As well as woodworking and spending time with my dogs.
