Dedicated and reliable Senior School teacher passionate about education and music. Over 9 years of experience teaching both Music and History in some of South Africa's leading schools. Successfully introduced and launched the Music department at one of Johannesburg's leading schools. The school now offers Music as a Matric subject and boasts three choirs, five marimba bands and a jazz band. A Music scholarship programme was also initiated. Disciplined, hard-working and conscientious. Value-driven, able to develop trusting and collaborative work relationships quickly. Motivated to make a difference in the lives of young people in their classrooms. When not in the classroom I compose and arrange music, and have been fortunate enough to have worked with some of South Africa's top musical directors on a number of projects. As a performing musician, my proudest moment was when I was selected by Abdullah Ibrahim to perform alongside him and the New South African Orchestra.
Arrange and compose music for various purposes including motion pictures, advertising purposes, electronic music, big band, orchestra and rock/pop groups.
