I build and lead infrastructure in environments where uptime, security, cost, and delivery all matter at the same time. I spent 12 years at KIPP New Orleans leading infrastructure across a multi-site organization, spanning networking, identity, security, lifecycle planning, and continuity as the environment grew and changed. As the organization scaled rapidly, my focus shifted toward high-impact infrastructure work such as crisis management, system redundancy, coordinated refresh cycles, and cross-functional project ownership: the decisions that connect systems, vendors, timelines, and operational risk. I stay current by building. At bifurcate.io, I run a self-funded infrastructure lab: a multi-site environment with k3s-based multi-model serving on two local GPU workers, encrypted routing across a multi-metro mesh, and layered observability from inference performance down to network, thermals, and power. It keeps me close to the tools and operating tradeoffs shaping the environments I plan to operate next.

Promoted from IT Associate (2011) → IT Manager (2012) → Director (2013). Held Director role for 10 years. ~$120M non-profit, 10 locations (9 campuses + regional office), 7,500+ students, 800+ staff. Built IT department from 2 part-time to 8 FTE. Designed and deployed all network infrastructure through five major refresh cycles — migrated from hub-and-spoke to full mesh with OSPF routing, 10Gbps WAN, 300+ WiFi 6E APs. Multi-year budget ownership with direct procurement authority. Drove identity platform migration from on-prem AD through Okta to Azure AD. Chose pfSense over ~$300K Palo Alto and redirected savings into endpoint security addressing the actual threat vector. Zero major data breaches and zero major audit findings across 12 years. Hurricane Ida (2021): Core infrastructure stayed operational when city 911 dispatch went dark. Relocated a campus to a new facility in approximately one week using maintained emergency hardware cache. COVID (2020): Deployed ~6,500 Chromebooks, ~1,600 tablets, and 4,000+ mobile hotspots to students in underserved communities. Imported directly from manufacturers in Guangdong when domestic supply chains broke.
