About

Cybersecurity only succeeds when it serves the business. My work as a Global CISO is grounded in one principle: security should accelerate strategy, not slow it down. I currently lead cybersecurity for the largest bank in Hawaii, supporting a $30B institution with operations across the U.S. and Asia-Pacific. My focus is clarity in high-stakes environments, translating cyber and AI risk into decisions that boards and executive teams can act on with confidence. My career spans financial services, global cybersecurity vendors, and government. I’ve served as a Field CISO in the industry (Tenable, FireEye, Symantec) and led the United Nations’ global program against cybercrime in Austria. I’ve built and matured security programs across multiple continents and led teams through transformation, regulation, mergers, and crisis. I’ve spent much of my career operating globally and I am fully accustomed to working onsite across major U.S. and international business hubs, with regular travel across the U.S., Europe, and APAC. What I’m known for: • Treating security as a business accelerator, not friction • Board-first communication that builds trust instead of fear • Calm, decisive leadership during incidents and uncertainty • Partnership-driven vendor relationships Recognition includes U.S. Navy leadership honors and Forbes Top 50 U.S. cybersecurity program recognition. If you’re driving transformation in a complex or high-growth environment, I operate comfortably in the boardroom, across global teams, and at the intersection of risk, trust, and business performance. Focus areas: Cybersecurity leadership, board governance, cyber & AI risk, incident response, IAM, cloud & application security, complex & regulated industries.
