Promoted to Design Team Leader. Developed the Fibre Design Guide for the business in conjunction with the Head of Design while managing and expanding the Fibre Design Team. Interviewed and hired candidates for both the regional and Head Office Design Teams alongside overseeing the relationships with the growing number of Design Partners and the delivery and quality of designs. Some of my achievements and highlights included the following: ★ Managed the relationships with multiple Design Partners and the delivery of design deliverables. ★ Facilitated technical queries sessions for internal and external stakeholders. ★ Transformed the design process in to a 3-stage delivery. ★ Created the Design Quality Control (QC) process and iteratively evolved and improved upon it. ★ Created and updated both regular and ad-hoc reporting for senior management. ★ Collaborated with the Product Owner on the improvement and development of the proprietary bespoke toolkit in QGIS. ★ User Acceptance Testing for new development releases in the bespoke design toolkit.
As one of the two founding members of the Fibre Design Team I sourced data required and created desktop FTTP/ FTTH designs which utilised existing infrastructure in the most efficient manner through Openreach’s Physical Infrastructure Access (PIA) Product. Some of the my core contributions in this role included the following: ★ Analysing, identifying and recording potential issues and risks to the design or build of a target design area, including identification of no existing infrastructure and Multiple Dwelling Units (MDU). ★ Designing layer 1 and layer 2 network for target design areas, including placement of the cabinets and backhaul. ★ Designing new infrastructure to facilitate the network where a lack of existing infrastructure or the existing infrastructure was fully utilized. ★ Contributing ideas to the development of a proprietary bespoke toolkit for QGIS. ★ User Acceptance Testing for new development releases in the proprietary bespoke toolkit.
I worked as a contractor on a major company-wide transformation program, assessing contractual arrangements for over 1200 suppliers of all sizes and translating their content for entry into a pioneering digital rights platform enabling end to end automation of the content supply chain. This role involved the following: ★ Reading, understanding and translating the contractual documents in to entries on the new digital rights platform. ★ Collaborating with the contract owners and the commercialisation teams globally to ensure the entries were correct. ★ UAT for new system enhancements. ★ Knowledge sharing with the Partner Managers of how the new system worked. ★ Identifying and sharing ideas for system enhancements and improvements.
I conducted intensive analysis of large data sets to derive actionable insights with a mandate to solve business problems, drive productivity, and enhance effectiveness of internal communications. I collaborated with colleagues on the Field Development Team to design and disseminate management information dashboards and reports to enable strategic decision-making. Some of my core contributions included the following: ★ Used excellent knowledge of SharePoint to build the Business/IT Change & Transformation homepage leading to the effective distribution of project schedules, resources, and updates. ★ Successfully increased smart meter installs by over 100K meters within a 12-month period. ★ Leveraged GIS mapping to deliver improved data understanding in support of data visualisation objectives. ★ Created cost/benefit models as a key aspect of the early-stage project planning process. ★ Tracked and analysed project progress and prepared comprehensive reports for senior leaders. ★ Monitored datasets for weaknesses and areas for improvement to streamline the smart meter install journey. ★ Produced GIS mapping to redesign operating boundaries around customer density and travel times. ★ Facilitated change management initiatives by developing Change Impact Assessments in liaison with end users.
