With over 30 years of experience in the information technology arena, I have participated in, and led, several initiatives to develop and implement software solutions for clients using various technologies across a myriad of organizations in the public and private sectors. Specialties: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Application Architecture, Systems Integration, Service Oriented Architecture, Microsoft Platform
I joined NorQuest College Business Technology Services management team to be the first Enterprise Architect ever employed by the college. My role is to work with the management team to establish an enterprise architecture practice which will position the organization to support academic and administrative activities by spending budgets appropriately in support of overall vision of the college. In my role, I am concentrating on establishing business architecture as a foundation for building and analyzing application, data, and technology architectures.
As an Enterprise Solution Architect, I work with companies that need to satisfy a business need with a technology solution. The process starts with understanding the business need and then progresses towards alternative solutions to solve that business need. Whether it is a custom application or implementation of an off-the-shelf solution, I help businesses to select the right solution to satisfy the business requirements.
As Chief Digital Officer, a volunteer position, I provide support for digital platforms used by District 99 Toastmasters. I work with the District Executive to support the entire team consisting of Division and Area Directors to support the clubs located throughout the district. This includes collaboration and virtual meeting platforms. Our primary platform is Microsoft 365, but we use several other technologies to provide services to the team and members of Toastmasters throughout the district.
As Immediate Past District 99 Director, I am a part of the executive and provide support and advice to the District Director and her team. My role is to chair the Past District Director/Governor Committee and coordinate activities of the group in support of the District.
As District Director I am responsible for overseeing the operation of the district team as they work to fulfill the district mission of starting new clubs and helping all clubs to succeed. Member needs have to be the focus of the team.
Assigned to support common platforms for finance, HR, supply chain, real estate, and information technology. I work closely with the business areas to support their planning for strategic implementation of technology platforms to support their business needs.
I work as a Domain Architect developing solutions to enable organizational and community initiatives. Edmonton Police Service is a fast-paced environment that is working to leverage technology in support of community and policing initiatives.
