I have an extensive track record as a growth leader in the insurance industry across the Asia Pacific region and Europe. With experience spanning over 25 years, I have held key senior executive roles within the world’s largest insurance companies. In 1993 I began my career with a British multinational insurance company in New Zealand, following which I joined ACE as the National Commercial Business Manager in 2000. In 2002 I was promoted to join ACE’s Regional Headquarters in Singapore as the Regional SME Manger for Asia. In 2003 I was appointed as General Manager for Taiwan where I was responsible for the distribution of Accident & Health products through multiple channels across Taiwan. After leaving ACE in 2005, I joined other global insurance companies in operational and management positions with increasing responsibilities with appointments in Japan as CMO and Europe as a Regional CEO. Most recently, I was Country President for Thailand, leading the operation to a new level of growth and overall expansion. In these roles my management experience encompassed underwriting, sales and marketing, product development, branding and relationship management. In 2016 I was appointed Executive Vice President and Regional Head of Accident & Health for APAC for Chubb where I am responsible for the overall P&L, management and development of accident, health and travel insurance business in the region. My other professional involvements include serving as Deputy Chairman of Chubb Samaggi Insurance Public Company Ltd and Sponsor of the Chubb EDGE Program - Chubb’s own Talent Acceleration Program that provide the best development opportunities for top performing managers. This is close to my heart as I enjoy making an impact in someone’s growth journey at work. ACE’s franchise in the Asia Pacific region comprises an extensive network of operations serving Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Key Responsibilities: - Full P&L responsibility for Thailand business - Managed 300 full time staff and 400 contracted telemarketing staff - 5-year strategy development - Property, Casualty and Accident and Health product management.
AIA is the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group with a presence in 18 markets across the Asia-Pacific region. Was engaged by the Group on a temporary contract. Key Responsibilities: - Rolled out new direct marketing platform in Philippines, Indonesia and Australia - Rebuilt Partnership Distribution Strategy for Australia - Brought 2 ‘in target’ large Australian partnerships through to implementation.
