Working for the MEP company NBI Spa: Directed, managed, and optimized the overall operations of a copper concentration plant from tailings of the Andina Division of Codelco. Set policies and made decisions guiding productivity, quality, and cost efficiency of plant operations. Established systems to collect metrics, analyze productivity and set performance targets that will meet revenue and cost goals. Led the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement. Ensured robust plant safety and security procedures and training are in place and that operations are in compliance with all required regulations. Led any labor relations activities involving the plant. Directed plant level support functions including finance, engineering, metallurgy, quality assurance, and human resources to ensure alignment with overall plant operations. Created functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.
During my tenure in this position, I equipped my teams with the leadership and direction needed to complete building and grounds maintenance operations for multiple hospitals, airports, retail buildings, and factories. Daily activities also included monitoring staff performance to locate areas of improvement and create the steps necessary for remediation. Examples of my accomplishments include: ● Maintaining complete compliance with all ISO 55001, PAS 55:2008, ISO 14224, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. ● Capitalizing upon my comprehensive expertise in compliance control as we created new energy and environmental plans based in ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and 2012/27/UE standards. ● Creating highly effective energy efficiency and predictive maintenance strategies and programs which were customized to match the needs of multiple chemical and paper plants.
As the Regional Facilities and Energy Manager, I assessed the requirements of real estate properties, retail buildings, hospitals, airports, and paper production plants while creating new energy efficiency and energy management strategies. I also possessed full control and accountability for all P&L management for a multi-million-dollar operating budget. This multi-faceted role also included creating in-depth financial reports, forecasts, and staff budgets.
During my tenure in this position, I oversaw the enforcement of all maintenance contract terms as I led my team of 35 maintenance technicians during maintenance and preventative maintenance operations. I also authored all documentation regarding progress in the computer-based predictive and preventative maintenance management system (CMMS).
