Policy Officer at SG REFORM - European Commission

Brussels, Brussels Region, Belgium

About

I am a Policy Officer at the European Commission, currently at SG REFORM, where I manage a wide-ranging portfolio in the Italian Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), covering renewable energy, environmental protection, and labour market policies. Through the Junior Professional Programme, I gained cross-Commission experience: at DG Employment (DG EMPL), I worked on the European Semester for Denmark and Estonia—from in-depth economic analysis to high-level political negotiations. At DG Trade, I was in the Industry and Energy unit, where I covered the chemical and textile sectors and supported the Net-Zero industry agenda. Previously, at the RECOVER Task Force, I oversaw the Recovery and Resilience Plans for Austria and Bulgaria, contributed to REPowerEU negotiations, and specialised in Energy, Sustainable Transport, and R&I. My earlier experience includes roles at DG ECFIN, the European Parliament (office of Damian Boeselager), and Frontier Economics, focusing on competition and energy policy. I hold Economics degrees from the London School of Economics and Bocconi University, with research interests in Political, Public, and Behavioural Economics. My career has been shaped by international experience in Milan, Toronto, London, and Brussels, spanning international organisations, economic consultancies, multinational corporations, start-ups, and non-profits—thriving in diverse, fast-paced environments.
