Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
I am a first-year Biomedical Science student at the University of Guelph with a strong interest in pursuing a career in medicine. Driven by curiosity, discipline, and a commitment to continuous growth, I aim to combine my academic studies with meaningful experiences that prepare me for medical school and a career dedicated to helping others. Outside the classroom, I’ve developed leadership, communication, and decision-making skills as a certified referee in both hockey and soccer. These roles taught me how to stay composed under pressure, make quick and fair judgments, and manage diverse groups of people. I also gained responsibility and teamwork experience working as a summer custodian, where attention to detail and reliability were essential. At Guelph, I am an active member of the Debate Team, where I’ve sharpened my ability to think critically, communicate persuasively, and analyze complex ideas from multiple perspectives. I am eager to continue building experiences that strengthen my academic foundation, develop my interpersonal skills, and contribute to my long-term goal of becoming a physician.
As a certified match official with Canada Soccer, I officiate competitive and recreational youth matches, ensuring fair play, player safety, and adherence to the Laws of the Game. This role demands strong decision-making, leadership, and communication in high-tempo, high-pressure match environments.
As a certified on-ice official with Alliance Hockey, I am responsible for ensuring fair and safe gameplay within games that I officiate, in accordance with official rules of the game. This role requires strong communication skills, decision making and conflict management.
As a custodial summer student with HWCDSB, I supported the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of school facilities during the summer break. This position required attention to detail, responsibility, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete essential custodial duties.
As a coach in the Hamilton Grassroots Soccer Program, I lead and support the development of young athletes through skill-based training, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. This role involves mentoring children in a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment while delivering sessions aligned with Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) model.
