In this position, I oversee all levels of bioproduct development, including proposing new products, performing market analyses, designing and performing experiments, and collaborating with operations and quality control teams during product launches. I provide guidance to and consult with a team of 65 specialists across the UAE and Italy. I analyze operations to evaluate the performance of the company and its staff in meeting their objectives and also to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, and policy change. I confer with executives, organization officials, and staff members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problems. I implement corrective action plans to solve organizational or departmental problems. I also collaborate with various regulatory agencies and local government organizations for authorizations and approvals. In addition, I direct the marketing and sales department to ensure optimum market penetration. Some of my accomplishments include: • Being instrumental in the development of the Ovoskill core product and protocol for the treatment of ovarian failure. • Successfully leading a team in the development of Exoxome 3D core product and protocol for aesthetics and medication conditions. • Planning and drafting a proposal for implementing the use of mesenchymal stem cells in Covid patients which subsequently received approval for trial from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the Ministry of Health (MOH). • Contributing to the development of various policies, procedures, and treatment protocols including mesenchymal stem cell cells production (Liposkill), tissue banking (Adiposkill), and Orthskill products. • Serving as an active member of the Strategy Team.
In this position, I plan and direct the activities and resources necessary for the production of autologous cells-based therapies and bio-advanced solutions in accordance with cost, quality, and compliance with local health authority. I provide scientific direction for project teams and research personnel regarding the evaluation or handling of devices, drugs, and cells for various disease models. I establish departmental responsibilities and coordinate functions among departments and sites. I monitor and inspect facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations. I develop guidelines and protocols for production and quality control. I also supervise and direct the activities of sales representatives. In addition, I set and monitor goals for research personnel. Some of my accomplishments include: • Being tasked with establishing and opening the first branch in the middle east. • Transforming research-based functions through the implementation of broad-scale organizational change. • Developing and implementing a compliance strategy to balance production costs with regulations for biological drug production which led to significant cost-savings and ensuring top quality standards. • Designing quality control strategies and processes governing new production protocols including human stem cells for clinical use at the only Ministry of Health approved cell factory. • Constructing clinical protocols for use of drugs in research and special use cases which led to an increase in products available to cross-functional teams internal and external to the organization. • Successfully achieving GMP and ISO certification for the production plant.
In this position, I supported a laboratory dedicated to biological cryopreservation, cellular culture, and scientific research by performing laboratory procedures following protocols including the handling of specimens and conducting tests. I maintained accurate laboratory records and data on all experiments. I also assisted with the cryopreservation of stem cells extracted from Human Cord Blook in accordance with organizational protocols.
