◦ Analysing energy policy & regulatory developments, including wind energy auctions. ◦ Producing WindEurope's annual statistics & market outlook report. ◦ Producing and hosting "The Onshore Perspective" video podcast. ◦ Moderating panels and speaking at public events.
◦ Developed and implemented an advocacy strategy on EU's Hydrogen and decarbonised gas market package as well as EU's Methane regulation. ◦ Drafted briefs, position papers and amendments concerning EU policy files, promoted them to policymakers. ◦ Monitored the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine on Europe's natural gas imports, evaluated diversification options. ◦ Explored how to integrate large shares of variable renewable energy sources in the power system. ◦ Liaised and negotiated with the organisation members to conciliate a common position on sensitive policy issues.
◦ Contributed to producing studies on hydrogen and methanation of hydrogen. ◦ Co-managed the Secretariat of two EU initiatives: the Initiative for Coal Regions in Transition and the Strategic Energy Technology plan Action 6 on energy efficiency in industry. ◦ Delivered capacity-building on EU climate and energy initiatives, e.g. EU's methane and hydrogen strategies.
◦ Advised private firms on the initiatives of the European Green Deal.
◦ Advised the organisation members on EU energy policy developments, notably on the Industrial emissions directive and the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities.
