Gillian is an alumnus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham's School of Health Professions, where she received her Master's of Science in Health Administration in 2022. She currently serves as Administrative Fellow for Northwell Health and seeks to inspire change after being inspired as a patient herself. Her previous experience includes operational and strategic work at systems like the Birmingham VA Healthcare System and UF Health Shands Childrens' Hospital.
