As a Policy Officer in the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, Jack supports the implementation of the National Energy Transformation Partnership. Jack completed a Masters of Science (Environment and Sustainability specialisation) in 2022 at the University of Southern Queensland (online) graduating with Distinctions after completing his Bachelor of Environmental Policy and Management at the University of Adelaide in 2020. Jack continues his passion for the environment as Chair of the Gawler Environment Centre, working with the local Gawler community on various projects. He is also a community member on the Gawler Youth Advisory Committee, and was involved in the development of the Gawler Climate Emergency Action Plan and the annual Bike Month campaign. As a consultant for Tandem Energy for almost four years, Jack has had experience working with clients of various sizes and industries on energy assessments, carbon emission inventories and environmental/sustainability strategies.
2021 Chairperson of the Gawler Environment Centre This role includes the running of committee meetings, ensuring all members are included and allowed the opportunity to contribute to the discussion; the liaising with the GEC Coordinator and stakeholders (Gawler Council Staff, other volunteer organisations etc.); and assisting with the running of events and logistics. This role will also include my current commitment to the running and maintenance of the GEC website which I have been maintaining since 2017.
