Originally coming from a theatre background Giles Alderson was part of the Royal Court and Soho Theatre Writers Programs, where he had many of his plays read and performed before he moved to film and TV, He has been making films, TV and content for 14 years. Directing and writing his award winning debut feature The Dare for Millennium Films (Expendables), World of Darkness for WhiteWolf, Arthur and Merlin: Knights of Camelot and the WWII feature film Wolves of War for Signature Entertainment starring Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl) and Rupert Graves (Sherlock) and Food For Thought, his documentary on animal welfare as well as producing A Serial Killers Guide to Life and Three Day Millionaire (all are available to watch on Sky Store/Prime now). Most recently, as Head of Production at Transmission Productions making adverts for Omaze and AXA to name a few and Lead Producer at Copa90 creating football led content, managed the entire lifecycle of projects from the initial greenlight straight through to final delivery. Completely at home building, interrogating, and locking complex budgets and schedules (using Excel and Movie Magic), as well as managing cash flows and international H&S compliance. His non-fiction background covers everything from archive-heavy documentaries to global, fast-moving shoots with high-profile talent He is in post on his latest directed and co-written feature film Sessions, starring Rupert Graves, Daniel O'Reilly, Jaime Winstone, Leo Gregory and has recently completed principal photography on his directed studio movie Samodiva, the Supernatural Horror was shot at Nu Boyana Film Studios which stars Richard Brake & Sophie Craig His directed live-action feature The Stranger in our Bed, based on the best selling novel of the same name starring Samantha Bond (Downton Abbey) and Emily Berrington (Humans) for Buffalo Dragon. Giles has produced Three Day Millionaire in starring Colm Meany (Con Air), The film was released in UK cinemas and went into the Top five on NETFLIX when released in 2023 and is now on Digital platforms He also produced the dark sci fi feature Repeat starring Charlotte Ritchie (Ghosts, You), the dark found footage horror feature film Followers for Parkhouse Pictures (Anna & the Apocalypse) and Dirty Boy starring Graham McTavish (The Hobbit). He also makes visual i-dents, Commercials and brand media forming strong relationships with clients and companies alike. Giles is a voting member of BIFA and a member of BAFTA.
