I recently graduated Brown University with a BS in computer science.
• Built a CTF: a full stack web application in Java and React built to be used to train cloud engineers about common web security vulnerabilities. • Researched and implemented XSS, SSRF, NoSQL Injection, IDOR, and Forced Browsing security vulnerabilities in the CTF.
Introduction to Object Oriented Programming • Led a staff of 32 undergraduate TAs to teach Introduction to OOP: Brown’s historically largest course. • Developed curriculum, such as new design sections and built Python scripts utilized by the class. • Individually mentored 25 students in lab section and design discussions. • Cumulatively held over 80 hours of office hours as a teaching assistant. • Served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Discrete Mathematics.
First author of a published paper on the quality of machine learning models to predict patient diagnoses. Trained 43 machine learning models to prove how inaccurate current prediction models are in patient diagnoses Learned SQL to extract information and sorted 61,532 hospital admissions into a cohesive dataset. Accepted to present a poster at the American Medical Informatics Association conference. Built a search engine to extract the most relevant PubMed articles from patient symptoms.
TREC 2019 Precision Medicine Track Worked in a team of 4 students to design and build a search engine utilizing the Whoosh library in Python Extracted the most relevant PubMed articles and clinical trials for patient data out of a database Increased accuracy of the retrieved articles by implementing query expansion using the Lexigram API into the team’s model
• Automated the entire process for onboarding new members using 5 APIs (Google Drive, Zingle, Sendgrid, Typeform, Calendly) , and 2 webhooks (Typeform and Calendly). Onboarding members will receive automatic emails over a specified timeline and the emails change depending on their completion of a Typeform survey. Additionally, I built a web page that displays the current status, errors and dates of completion for each member currently onboarding. • Designed and built web pages and features using React such as individualized profile pages for every member and favoriting posts using HTML/CSS to style the features and React-Redux and MongoDB to handle the back-end implementation. • Developed testing infrastructure for large parts of the codebase using React-Testing-Library.
Led a classroom of 24 students building and coding LED cubes and robot arms Worked one-on-one with students to build their structures and design and debug their code. Volunteered to teach low-income students basic coding concepts, using Arduino software to light up LED cubes or move their robot arms.
