Binnen deze functie hou ik me bezig met het opstellen en adviseren over beleid, kaders en uitgangspunten op het gebied van kwantitatief waterbeheer. Daarnaast hou ik me bezig met het vormgeven en implementeren van technisch inhoudelijke onderzoek en ontwikkeltrajecten binnen het waterschap.
During my master thesis, I investigated the interaction between the urban drainage system and the rural surface water system during extreme precipitation events. To do this, I constructed an integral 1D2D fully-distributed hydrodynamic model. This model incorporated the sewer system, surface water system and a detailed representation of the surface layer with spatially different infiltration. During this research, I worked with the programs Infoworks ICM, QGIS, and FME.
Research into the relationship between pluvial flooding and an increase in greenery in urban areas.
