The Randstad, Netherlands
Responsible for freight vendor selection and contract management of 40+ vendors globally. Contractual value worth over €40mln annually. It covers both inbound and outbound transportation for all the Fenix Outdoor brands to and from our DC's in the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, the USA and Canada. Keywords: Transport optimization, contract management, benchmarking, data analysis, negotiation, supplier relationship, transport emission calculation and cross cultural communication. Notable achievements: - Multiple structural cost saving projects initiated and completed, totalling over €3mln whilst improving or maintaining quality. - Redesigned our global inbound freight forwarder set-up. - Increased differentiation in parcel services utilized to better match end-receiver preferences and requirements (B2B, B2C). - Implemented a new transportation emission calculations and reporting standard (GLEC framework). When I joined there was no global standard methodology and many gaps in the reporting of transportation emissions. - Integration of multiple freight forwarders into our ERP system (MS Dynamics 365). Our operations are historically based on the wholesale of Fjällräven products. In 2001, the outdoor retailer Naturkompaniet AB was acquired and the Retail division of the company was started. After that, Tierra Products AB, Royal Robbins, Devold and Hanwag were acquired which, together with Fjällräven, make up the Brands division.
