Rome, Latium, Italy
I am an experienced broadcast journalist, having worked for Italian broadcasting companies for many years as a TV producer, reporter, editor and filmmaker, dealing with all areas of interest – from politics to culture and sport. Born near Naples, after high school I moved to the UK, where I specialized in Italian Neorealism and European Cinema, getting a degree at the University of Reading with a dissertation on the cinema of Italian director and actor, Nanni Moretti. After I moved back to Italy, I wrote articles for cinema magazines, until I began a freelance reporter for a minor satellite broadcasting company. My next step was a contract with the most important Italian private broadcasting company Mediaset, where I worked as a producer for a showbiz-themed daily program. Curious about the evolution of Italian society in the new millennium, I did extensive research into Italian youth, in particular education and the employment system. This led to a decade-long collaboration with Okkupati, a weekly program about job opportunities and work policies on the Italian public television channel, Rai Tre. After just a few months of working as a reporter and filmmaker, I became head producer and creative director, deciding content and hosting my own on-air video segment. As a TV format creator, I recently worked for companies such as Zodiak Media group and Rai World. I recently began a collaboration with freelance journalists platform PayDesk. Thanks to their intermediation I worked as a correspondent from Italy for major broadcasting companies such as Canadian Broadcasting Company, Voice of America, BBC Ulster and CGTN.
