About

I was born in Verona, Italy, on April 28, 1942. My academic journey began in Milan, where I earned a Doctorate in Nuclear Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan in 1968. Later, I decided to shift fields and pursued a Master of Science in Physics at the University of California at Santa Cruz, obtaining my degree in 1972. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach and conduct research in physics at various universities and research institutions in California, Italy, Arizona, and Venezuela. Since 1975, I have been a faculty member in the Physics Department at the University of the Andes in Mérida, Venezuela. I have published more than 150 specialized articles in international physics journals, as well as two books exploring the relationship between science, art, and myth. Currently, I serve as a Professor of Physics at the Center for Fundamental Physics at the University of the Andes, which I co-founded. Over the years, I have supervised undergraduate and graduate theses and have acted as a referee for numerous international physics journals. I have led multiple research projects funded by my university and other institutions, earning various national and international awards. My research interests have always centered on fundamental physics, quantum physics, classical electrodynamics, and relativity.
