Gia Hoa leverages detailed research, effective communication, and compassionate client engagement to build sustainable solutions. He supported Ceres, a consultancy, in their client strategy and benchmarking projects and analyzed over 300 sustainability reports at the Governance & Accountability Institute for investor audiences. Gia Hoa's sector experience includes consumer goods and services, hospitality and recreation, technology, food and beverage, finance, and healthcare companies. Gia Hoa centers people in his sustainability work with a deep passion for climate justice, DEI, and climate refugees. Initially interested in psychology, Gia Hoa realized mental wellbeing was directly linked with access to environmental and social resources. Thus, he began his journey to be a change leader through stakeholder engagement and facilitation. He believes the corporate world has the capacity for compassionate and collaborative change.
• Collaborate with enterprise partners to collect, audit, and validate over 500 sustainability metrics • Implement ESG data platforms with collaboration with internal IT teams for the enterprise • Manage GHG calculation for over 10,000 sites and $180 billion in procurement spend • Reduce GHG emissions by 5.5%, including 150,000 mtCO2e reduction through procurement policies • Prepare internally for emerging climate regulations including SEC, California SB 253, EPR, and CSRD
• Engage with over 20 clients on sustainability reporting, strategy, raters & rankings support, double materiality, and competitive intelligence projects across multiple sectors • Develop new business opportunities through proposal writing and presentations to various stakeholders, executives, and boards. • Create a nature positive benchmarking tool for new nature management services aligned to current best practice and emerging documents from TNFD, WBA, and WEF
• Analyze over 300 large and mid-cap company sustainability reports through various frameworks (SASB, GRI, CDP, TCFD, UN SDGs, etc.) • Perform client gap analysis on sustainability disclosure based on peer and industry performance • Content creation on pertinent corporate sustainability issues, such as the integration of environmental justice in sustainability planning
• Facilitate Bentley's strategic sustainability and climate action planning process for 2026 with 150+ stakeholders • Baseline and benchmark sustainability performance among peer institutions • Guest lecture on environmental racism, climate change, and sustainability issues
• Design strategies for new engagement programs and university policy based on annual performance • Analyze sustainability performance metrics in energy, water, and waste diversion • Create comprehensive communication for internal stakeholders on sustainability and climate change
