NYC/EDC’s Asset Management division manages the overall strategy for conventional and non-traditional assets across all five boroughs of New York City including commercial real estate properties as well as transportation, critical infrastructure, and energy assets. The division pursues a double-bottom-line strategy, targeting not just economic returns but also multiple social metrics including but not limited to job creation and growing equitable neighborhoods.
Leading the New York City Economic Development Corporations assets in Ports, Waterfront and Transportation, including Cruise and NYC Ferry Terminals, Heliports, an Offshore Wind Terminal and Short-Line Rail. The NYC EDC has led several major initiatives recently ensuring that its impact investment mandate addresses not just strong financial returns but also key socio-economic outcomes. Important new projects are in the works, including transforming the Brooklyn Marine Terminal into a modern maritime port, and expanding the use of city waterways to move cargo off city roadways via the City's Blue Highway initiative.
