My dynamic role at Hourlux entails working with a portfolio of unique global brands such as QLOCKTWO, Carl F. Bucherer, SwissKubiK, Scatola del Tempo, and DaqiConcept. The departure from the fashion industry to luxury accessories and interior objects has been a flawless transition due to my love of beautiful product and design. Marketing what you love is then akin to second nature. I apply a combination of established Marketing theories complemented by Digital Marketing tools to achieve key objectives. I’m always researching and studying current trends and developments, not only in Marketing but also in Business Strategy, to master a holistic approach in my role. Being from South Africa and working within an international team with diverse cross-cultural influences, creates an energetic work space filled with ideas. I thrive on this. It drives me and always challenges my norms to think creatively and drive business to the next level.
As an active member of the international community in Arnhem, I was instrumental in establishing the first English network for women, Arnhem Together. With a growing number of international residents, our organization helps women integrate and acclimatize to their new surroundings and lifestyle.
My position as a Buying Manager at TFG was working within the dynamic Ladieswear value retail chain, Fashion Express. This fast paced career was challenging and invigorating and allowed me to adapt rapidly to changing retail conditions within South Africa. I am driven by fashion and trends and successfully led a team to translate this into commercial ranges. My strengths are combining visionary business objectives while maintaining a tactical and practical approach to the realities of how to achieve this. I skillfully combine my ability to manage people and processes to achieve both hard and soft objectives. My tenacity and energy are balanced with humility and empathy. I believe in a strong work ethic absent of politics to gain the best results.
