I was born in the northern province in limpopo near Messina on a family farm. Here I was raised and taught in the culitvation of tomataoes, cucumbers ans spanspek as well as breading with cattle and sheep. This was also a popular destination for enthusiastic hunters where I was brought up with the traditions and to date still enjoy this past time hunting for only what we can use and eat. I finished my high-school on the South-Coast and went on to study business studies @ Ubilo college in Oslo beach. I went on to travel South-Africa working in various restaurants as a waiter and eventually the United Kingdom after my career change to the electrical field. I spent a few months in the UK installing and commisioning electrical and hydroponic envirometal control systems as well as irrigation systems. This sparked a enthusiatic love for the field and I came back to South-Africa where I joined my father & brother in business. This ranged from designing electrical and plumbing istallations, draughting of quotes to maintenance on one of the leading car manufacturer's known as Toyota. From here I moved to the northern cape continuing with the electrical trade and adopting consrtuction and building. I left this for the big city life and settled in JHB working as a site manager for a risk company which opened various opportunities for me. I tried my hand in everything from transport, despatch, risk control, inbound and most functions related to warehousing and FMCG. I am currently in the logistics sector focussing on primary distribution and found quite an enjoyment for the challenges that transport within logistics can bring.
Senior Manager: Managed Transport Solutions | Primary Distribution | Coastal Planning As a Senior Manager in Managed Transport Solutions, I lead strategic and operational initiatives focused on primary distribution across Africa, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and customer-centric transport solutions. My role involves optimizing logistics networks, managing key transport partnerships, and driving continuous improvement across our supply chain operations. I work extensively with the ONE Network TMS platform, leveraging its capabilities to enhance visibility, streamline planning, and improve execution across transport lanes. In addition to my core responsibilities, I am actively involved in coastal planning operations, collaborating with regional Distribution Centres such as KZN, ECDC, and PHDC. This extended scope allows me to contribute to integrated planning and execution across inland and coastal networks, enhancing service delivery and alignment with broader business objectives.
