Tech geek, a software developer by heart, tech director by decision, and passionate about learning new stuff. I've grown and learned throughout my career while playing different roles, from junior developer to senior architect in various technologies and approaches. I know there are two areas where I'm more impactful and add the most value: Solid technical expertise I've been a subject matter expert in crucial tech stacks and processes over the years, and I ensure to keep myself up-to-date. I reckon this impacts the Director's role in situations such as having the correct pitching talk for clients, designing solutions that best suit the business needs and goals, reducing and anticipating risks, liaising between different disciplines translating the technical jargon (speaking the same language) and influencing the tech discipline guiding the craft to new horizons. Mentoring people For me, it's not only about what I learn but what I can share with others. I like to share my journey. That's valuable for me because it's the way to learn and grow more. I appreciate the time when I can talk to people about their situations and issues, listen to them, and figure out a solution through our shared experience. I promote in my mentees principles like leading by example, building trust, and being situational leaders, so they impact their teams positively.
