After many years of travel and 'real work', I've finally found my place in the world (south of France) and, in particular, my dream job of owning a cycling tour company. I bring to this position lots of (mostly intangible) skills that I have acquired over decades of living and working around the world. Two constant strains run through this twisted thread: Teaching and Leadership. I have been teaching English, more or less consistently, for 25 years, and continue to do so in France. It is as much a learning experience for me as it is for my students, I am sure, and I will probably never give it up. I love to interact with interesting people and teaching is one of the best ways to do this. I have also nearly always found myself in some form of leadership position in my various careers; starting when I was barely 20 years old and running my own martial arts school in Toronto, running through my decade in Tokyo where I spent several years as an Instructional Supervisor for Berlitz Japan, to running a 'scoring site' for an English language proficiency test company. Today, these skills are essential in ensuring a successful bike tour of even one day.
