About

I am a researcher and academic teacher. My research is about the dynamics of Life and, in particular, Disease. Focus is on epileptic brain activity. I try to use simulation, stimulation and adaptation to understand and induce dramatic changes of complex (polyphonic) rhythms. My teaching is research-based and interdisciplinary. I am now full-time devoted to teach Dynamical Systems in Python. Together with forward-looking colleagues and research students, we design and create new web-based courses, offer webinars and use latest technologies to help learners advance. All the while: searching for the 'basic algorithms of life and disease'! My academic approach is to provide an environment for my students to flourish and to develop strong, curious research personalities.
