Research internship centered around the use of innovative connectoids devices, that allows for the combination of various organoids, including Ventral Midbrain, Striatal, and Forebrain. The primary objective of this work is to develop a standardized disease model for Parkinson’s disease, which is expected to significantly enhance our understanding of the disease and aid in the development of more effective treatment strategies.
Research internship focused on generating diverse interneural cortical subpopulations, from hESCs, through the application of varied differentiation protocols. The overarching aim of this research was to devise an optimized protocol that enables the efficient and rapid generation of functional interneurons.
During my internship at Lund University, I was involved in a research project that focused on investigating the integration of reprogrammed human GABAergic induced interneurons into the brain of immunodeficient mice. The objective of this research was to understand the extent and mechanisms of integration of these transplanted interneurons and assess their potential as therapeutic interventions for neurological disorders.
