Dr. Germán Alonso Moreno is a faculty member in the Science, Engineering, and Mathematics Division at Doña Ana Community College in Southern New Mexico. He is a leader in STEM education innovation, with extensive experience developing and managing grant-funded initiatives—including projects supported by the National Science Foundation—focused on advancing outcomes for STEM majors, educators, and career and technical professionals. His scholarship centers on expanding opportunities for students from historically underrepresented populations, grounded in participatory and transformative approaches that respond to evolving social and political contexts. Dr. Moreno brings expertise in program development, mixed-methods research, and professional development, and he actively cultivates cross-institutional partnerships to drive meaningful, systemic change.
