About

>> Pre-order my new book on Social Green: https://www.voordekunst.nl/projecten/20376-hoe-sociaal-groen-ben-jij I am specialized in data journalism and information design. My focus is the research, design and communication of complex stories. Besides working on commissions for international clients, I am teaching information design and data journalism and write about the disciplines. In my own self-initiated research projects I examine subjects around cultural heritage, complex (digital) collections and open archives. I am author of ‘Designing universal knowledge’ (2009) and co-author of ‘Making the Impossible Possible’ (2006) and ‘Amsterdam in documents’ (2011). For the communication of complex topics and stories I developed the method of 'Systematic Storytelling'. https://theworldasflatland.net/systematic-storytelling/ Follow my research on Social Green: https://www.instagram.com/the.garden.is.a.process/ Follow my research on cultural heritage and customs, family legacies and dreams, migration and trauma: https://archiving-family-memories-and-dreams.net/ https://www.instagram.com/archiving_family_memories/ ––Overview of projects: https://theworldasflatland.net ––For projects and cooperations please contact me at: studio (at) theworldasflatland.net
