Results driven executive with 15 + years’ experience in category, sales, team leadership as well as commercial management (P&L) working for major international organisations. One of my core professional strengths stems from having successfully transitioned to various industries by strongly influencing their business strategy and making a positive contribution in each. From consumer electronics working for Sony, to ITC distribution heading up Samsung, Sony and LG categories for one of the largest JSE listed ICT distributors in South Africa. I also served in an executive position overseeing sales and operations for The Prestige Cosmetics group who is one of South Africa’s leading luxury cosmetics distributors, followed by Logitech in the capacity of Country Manager, South & Southern Africa. My last engagement up until the end of 2024 was in the position of CEO for Firesmiths, a local manufacturer for outdoor goods as well as importer of international outdoor brands, leading the local team and being responsible for developing the channel, retail and export business for the company. Throughout my career I have been privileged to acquire extensive knowledge and exposure with regards to various business best practices, international engagements, business models, routes to market, team management and commercial acumen. This equipped me with a practical knowledge of the critical business levers any company needs to operate effectively to remain sustainable and profitable. This experience, coupled with my strong business acumen, ultimately provided me with a great platform to lead, innovate and achieve significant results from a people development as well as bottom-line perspective.
