As part of an industry-leading CDMO we provide customer services in API-development and small & mid-scale operations from first feasibility studies over clinical studies to commercial supply. We have a particular strong track record in the field of Highly Potent Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients.
With hands-on support for Bayer’s API production my team of process engineers, process chemists and technology transfer experts drives Bayer’s mission “health for all, and hunger for none”. We develop manufacturing strategies to ensure optimal product supply over the lifecycle of Bayer’s API portfolio, and we strive for sustainable production and innovative manufacturing technology.
My team of 40 scientists and technicians, working in chemical synthesis, process development and scale-up, drives Bayer’s Small Molecule development portfolio. We are responsible for route scouting, process development, IP strategy and product submissions.
90+ engineers, plant managers, and plant operators develop and manufacture chemical APIs for clinical development and market supply in state-of-the-art facilities in small- / mid scale. Metal-organic chemistry, low-temperature reactions, Highly Potent Active Ingredients and PAT-assisted crystallization are examples for our core capabilities.
Working in the department for Corporate Development, I am driving the strategy development in the area of innovative technologies by e.g. cross fertilization between business units, development of a venture capital strategy and the assessment of new business areas. I keep business relations to leading strategic consultancies and market research organisations. In my role, I am reporting to the Chief Scientific Officer of Bayer AG.
Responsible for process development of new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (route scouting, scale-up, preparation of submission documents). Responsible for successful late stage development, tec transfer to production and submission of New Chemical Entity.
Responsible for manufacturing of new Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients for clinical development.
Responisble for several research projects in the field of catalysis, chemical process development, and process improvement of existing manufacturing processes in the areas cosmetics, polymers, crop protection.
