Master's degree in Economics and Law with more than 20 years of regulatory experience in different supervisory roles acquired in a national financial services regulator and in an international banking regulator, with more than 6 years of managerial experience. Expert in market entry (licensing, qualifying holdings and fit and proper assessments) , ongoing conduct supervision (transparency, suitability and fairness) and non-financial risk (corporate governance, management body, risk appetite, risk management, compliance, internal audit, AML/KYC, operational risk, IT and Cyber risk). In depth-knowledge of credit institutions and regulated entities in the banking and financial service industry. Strong knowledge and expertise in applying international financial services and prudential regulations and international best practices. Robust understanding of conduct and prudential risk. Practical experience with developing regulatory standards and comfortable with applying a risk-based supervision strategy. Excellent research and analytical skills and excellent communication, people management and stakeholder skills.
Responsible for the ongoing supervision of the largest credit institution in the SSM - coordination of Governance & Risk Management and Operational & IT sub risk teams. Member of the experts group on governance and advisor to senior management on fit and proper assessments for large credit institutions,.
Responsibilities the same as Principal Supervisor, however role more focused on leading strategic projects and supporting the deputy head in the day to day management of a team of around 15 professionals
Job exchange of 3 months and responsible for ongoing supervision of 3 large credit institutions in the SSM, with focus on non-financial risk (governance/compliance and operational risk)
Responsible for authorization activities (licensing and fit and proper tests persons) for MIFID and AIFMD firms, consumer credit providers, investment product providers, crowdfunding platforms and credit unions. Conducting on site inspections as part of the licensing. Advising and cooperating with the Dutch Central Bank regarding the licensing of credit institutions and pension funds and the fit and proper test for approved persons. Responsible for market orientation for innovation, policy making on fit and proper assessments and establishing a licensing regime for crowdfunding platforms and credit unions. Leading and managing a team of between 9 and 12 professionals, responsible for budgeting, HRM, process, quality, strategy and goals.
Responsible for licensing and ongoing supervision of investment product providers, conducting onsite inspections at crowd funding platforms, insurance intermediaries and specialized investment firms.
Responsible for licensing of insurance advisors and intermediaries , leading and managing a project team of about 15 young professionals
Responsible for the assessment of potential breaches of competition law, enforcement and sanctioning.
