My passion is to apply IT and coach people. I studied Industrial Design Engineering at Delft Technical University and graduated in 1986. At Hoogovens, Corus and now Tata Steel I enjoyed various IT consultancy and IT management roles. In my current role I am responsible for the IT solutions for the Commercial and Corporate Communications functions within Tata Steel Netherlands. For example we successfully implemented a new Intranet based on standard Sharepoint, created an innovative and cost-effective EDI solution using the MS Azure platform and implemented eCommerce solutions including a sophisticated reversed Dutch Auction model. All our efforts are focused on how we can best apply IT to better serve our customers and make Tata Steel more easy to deal with. With our team we are implementing IT solutions for the Sales & Marketing function within Tata Steel Europe and developing a digital strategy.
