Prior to joining Lochridge Investment Advisors in August 2016, Gerard Trevino was the Chief Administrative Officer at BlackGold Capital Management (energy credit hedge fund manager). Mr. Trevino joined BlackGold after 13 years with AAA Capital Management Advisors, a commodity trading advisor (energy trading hedge fund manager), where he was the firm's Chief Operating Officer / Chief Risk Officer and spearheaded the enhancement of AAA's trading operations group and the development of portfolio risk management analysis and reporting as the firm's assets under management grew from $150 million to a peak of $2 Billion. He was also instrumental in raising assets for the firm and the structuring of investment vehicles for AAA CMA. Additionally, he was responsible for the management of non-trading functions of AAA CMA and for maintaining relationships with fund administrators, legal counsel, auditors, and regulators to ensure the proper operation of AAA CMA and its funds. Prior to the AAA CMA position he was employed by Van Kampen Investments in various positions (investor services, fixed income portfolio operations, equity and fixed income product development and management). Mr. Trevino holds BAs in Philosophy and Psychology, the Series 3 license, has been awarded the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation, has a Commercial Real Estate Analysis and Investment Certification from MIT, is a member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association, Professional Risk Management International Association (PRMIA), and the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP). Mr. Trevino is also fluent in Spanish. He previously held the series 7, 63 and 65 licenses.
