Netherlands
Finance executive with a background in listed real estate and corporate finance, shaped over 20+ years across Europe and the US. I served as CFO and Management Board member at Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield N.V., working on navigating change, strengthening the financial foundation and supporting long-term value creation. Today, I focus on roles where finance, strategy and governance come together. Alongside this, I am actively involved as Chair of the non-executive board at Le Champion, contributing to the development and governance of one of the Netherlands’ largest sports organisations.
Le Champion promotes a healthy and active society. This is done by encouraging people of all ages and all sporting levels to start running, cycling and walking through appealing sporting events. Fun and personal top performance go hand in hand. Le Champion was founded in 1969 as an association for touring cyclists, later runners and walkers were added. In 1986 the foundation was established to accommodate the major events. Events of le Champion include Egmond Half Marathon, the Ronde van Noord-Holland, the Dam tot Damloop, the TCS Amsterdam Marathon and the Wandel4daagse Alkmaar. The association and foundation work closely together to this day. Le Champion is now one of the largest sports associations in the Netherlands with about 20,000 members and 250,000 participants annually. 70% of the members mainly focus on running, of the other 30% about half do cycling and walking.
