As the COO of DP World Canada Ports and Terminals, I lead the operations of five terminals across the country, providing efficient, safe, and profitable port services to our customers and partners. DP World is one of the largest port operators in the world, with a presence in over 50 countries and a portfolio of 90 terminals. With more than 30 years of experience in the marine port and terminal industry, I have delivered results and created value in various regions and markets, including the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. I have successfully led the expansion and development of several strategic ports, increasing their capacity, productivity, and quality. I have also implemented best practices and standards in environmental, social, and governance aspects, enhancing the performance and competitiveness of the ports and contributing to the economic and social development of the communities we serve. I hold a Masters degree from the Merchant Marine Academy "De Ruyter" in the Netherlands, and a MEng in International Business Finance from The Wharton School, where I gained valuable insights and skills in global strategy, finance, and management. I am passionate about driving innovation, growth, and sustainability in the port industry, as well as empowering and mentoring the next generation of port leaders.
