My role is to ensure the organization and leadership team have the clarity, structure, and support needed to execute well for our clients and our people. I work closely with department leaders to align priorities, maintain operational discipline, and keep the business focused on long-term stability and service quality. I focus on supporting and developing leaders across service delivery, technology, marketing, business development, communications, and operations, while maintaining alignment around priorities, accountability, and execution. This includes ensuring our systems, processes, and standards support consistent service and scalability, and working alongside leaders across the business to remove obstacles and enable sound decision-making.
I lead day-to-day operations at Exigent Technologies, a multi-state Managed IT Services and Consulting firm, with responsibilities spanning financial management, operational execution, and organizational development. My role includes CFO and COO-level oversight—ensuring financial strength, operating efficiency, and disciplined growth through clear controls, reporting, and accountability. I also manage Sales on an interim basis to maintain continuity and revenue performance. Key responsibilities: Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting to enable sustainable, margin-accretive growth. Oversee operational planning, process optimization, and organizational alignment to support business scalability. Maintain rigorous administrative, compliance, and control environments that enable sound decision-making and mitigate risk. Support business development and Sales performance during organizational transitions, with a focus on continuity and pipeline health. Partner with department leaders to develop systems, processes, and structures that support growth, service excellence, and profitability. Advise on strategic initiatives, including operational improvements, technology rollouts, and M&A readiness.
As Director of Operations, Gerald was responsible for managing the day-to-day aspects of the business and ensuring that we have the proper controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people and systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. Responsibilities include: - As a member of our Executive Team, facilitate the development of our organization’s strategy/mission and cascade that information to all direct and indirect reports. - Leverage various methods and tools in order to foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company and maintain an exceptional level of corporate motivation, inspiration and engagement. - Advise on strategic finance and operations needs and opportunities and develop solutions to existing challenges. - Provide oversight and direction to the technical services, account management, sales and finance teams by establishing clear goals and employing systematic human resource management techniques (including bi-yearly reviews). - Perform oversight and management of the finance function, including preparation of budgets, forecasts and cash flows. - Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operating condition of the company. - Collaborate with departmental management teams to develop, maintain and refine all components of our operational infrastructure, including systems, processes, and personnel structure, in order to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization. - Oversee our Security and Privacy responsibilities, with an end goal of ultimately ensuring full regulatory compliance.
