About

I have been developing Java systems for several years now. The systems' size ranged from small EAI dockings developed in two months to large multi-tier applications that were under development for years involving a team of a hundred people. My focus lies on the server side of distributed systems, especially the persistence layer, i.e., O/R mapping, and integration with other systems, i.e., ESB, messaging. I have seen a lot of projects fail and some succeed, so I learned to be realistic about the achievability of goals and the 80/20 rule. I am strictly a technician, not a manager, but I am concerned about bad management. I understand Dilbert from the heart - and all books of Tom DeMarco are my favourite readings, more than any lesson Specialties: Java, Oracle, JDBC, JMS, JEE, O/R mapping, SQL, ESB, EAI
