The advent of Multi-sport, and adventure racing combines a multitude of sports and mental/physical strength and endurance challenges. If you have competed in an Adventure Race in the greater New York Area there is a good chance you have met one of our Fitness Instructors. It is Mandatory they stay current with new courses and challenges. The combination of sports varies from race to race and from year to year. Cross training is great but specifics on paddling, traversing rough terrain while running and with mountain bikes, what to bring to a race and mastering transition areas and safety are all taught within the courses. Mental preparation for races in general is always so important. Now, in Multi-sport racing we are seeing more and more events that are just one long unknown obstacle course. For that reason, in these Specific Training Sessions we utilize one of the one of the only indoor Military Style Obstacle courses on Long Island.
